1. A Flagship Phone
I was confused whether to go for Oneplus 6T or Honor View 20, but because of wide range of features offered by View 20 for the same price, I chose this phone. I will give you my observations on View 20 in the 4 days of my usage. - The punch hole display is one of the biggest reasons to go for it, because a lot of times you forget that there is a hole on the screen and feel it as full screen display.
And the quality of display is also great. - The Design on the backside is really attractive especially on the Sapphire blue, but it is better to use the transparent case given with the phone if you are a rough handler. - Good battery backup and super charge. Getting to 50% in around 28 minutes. - Can’t say it as the best Camera, but the details given in the 48 MP shot are a bit better than 12MP shot. The AI Ultra clarity update hasn’t come yet, maybe that will change my opinion. I haven’t explored all the options in the camera app, there are a ton of them, Light painting is one of the features I liked. - Magic OS offers a lot of cool options to control your phone with Knuckle taps on the screen and finger print gestures. - IR blaster, TOF 3D Camera, 960 FPS Slow motion, 3.5 mm Audio Jack are few points that made me go for this compared to Oneplus 6T. But if this phone wasn’t launched I would have surely gone for 6T.
2. Big on price, Low on Specification
Honestly, I waited for this phone for more than a month when I could have bought One plus 6T a month back itself. Was mesmerized by the specs - 48mp - 3D sensor - Kirin 980 - Liquid cooling !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing is as fancy anymore after using the device for a week. I didn't pay attention to the replacement(only!! no return) policy of this product. Been a long time customer of Amazon but I guess, gotta try other sites if they offer refund in such big price scenarios. Disappointing amazon. You could atleast refund it as amazon pay balance so that we can buy some worthy product from your site itself. Now coming to the Phone - Pros - Battery : Quite good battery back up though not upto 4000 mah level. Display : is Vivid, looks colorful and joyous experience to watch in full screen mode. You can pinch out You tube videos to fill the screen. Punch_hole Front camera - new design and looks nice IR blaster - Good they have included but the devices that are supported are very less, installed MI remote which worked better with more devices but still falls short of many devices. Cons - Rear Camera -Poor camera performance, not even close to 24 MP of a flagship grade. Slows motion recording starts after a while say 2-3 secs later at times which will eventually fail to capture the moments we want to. Lagy at times - Within a day's usage without more than a few apps installed, the phone failed to register touches like back, application open from recent applications stack. Speaker - The speaker is loud enough but could have been better at this price range. Branding - HONOR?? Really? Honor 8X has a better brand logo in style. Antutu Score - around 2.7 lacs where a oneplus 6 and 6T both are ahead at around 2.9 lacs. Was really disappointed to know that amazon will not accept the return of the device as oneplus is also available on amazon itself to buy.
3. Amazing with some cons
Got the update of Ultra clarity mode in camera & Jan security patches etc. But i don't know why after plating real cricket game for 20-25 mins phone is getting heating up. Is there really a liquid cooling system in this phone. I shifted from Samsung S9+ to Honor view 20.(I am satisfied with my decision) Punch hole display: 9/10 (As yet some apps does not support full view display, otherwise 10/10) Camera: 10/10 (Used 12 mp shooter but still gives excellent quality pictures) Battery back up & charging: 10/10 Performance: 10/10 Design: 9/10 Features: 10/10 LED notification light,3.5 mm jack still there.. Don't compromise with any other phones when Honor View 20 gives such a good features at this price. Just go for it.
